On June 18th I took the little boys to the Mad Science show at the Springville Library. Lenna and her kids met us there. (My older kids went ice skating with friends, so they missed out.) It wasn't my favorite library activity, but the kids liked it.
The "mad" scientist.
Mom and Jude sitting on the floor.
It was also half price milkshake day at Sonic, so the boys and I needed a treat. I shared mine with Jude. Or rather, he grabbed on to mine and never let go.
Jude has a love/hate relationship with water. He loves the bath, but he has a hard time at the splash pad or the pool. It takes him about an hour to warm up to the idea of playing in the water. He finally decided to play, and he enjoyed being friends with Cousin Mason.
Jude enjoyed feeding Mason fish crackers.
On the 20th we went to the new Bartholomew Park in Springville. It was a Saturday, so I made Nate come too. He enjoyed himself for a little while, then insisted that we go home. It was a blast. I think we've gone 4 times now. The kids love squirting water guns and building sand castles.
Granny and the cousins joined us.
Look who's so happy!
I helped build the castles too.
I love that Jude and Nate are sitting the same way on the couch.
On Father's Day I neglected to take any pictures of Nate with his kids. Oops. I'm sure he looked very handsome and felt very loved.
Monday afternoon the kids and I went with my mom to her work party. We went to the temple president's home in Provo Canyon just past Deer Creek. It was amazing. I'm usually not very covetous, but I was in love with this property. I wanted all of it. So bad.
The giant slip'n'slide.
The tables set up under the gorgeous, huge shade trees.
The amazing swing set that was like 12 awesome swing sets all hooked together. Seriously.
The big red barn.
The tennis/basketball courts and horseshoe pit.
This is all inside the big red barn.
The kids went down this slipe'n'slide for 2 hours straight. I went down a few times too. It was awesome.
Jude and Nana splashing in the puddle at the end of the slide.
Colin met a group of kids and they went down the slide together in a train multiple times.
Colin running up the hill.
At the end we had J Dawgs for dinner and went home very happy.
