Funtivities with Cousins: Part 2

Another day, another trip to the res.  I really like Bartholomew Park. I helped build this castle too.

Sand Mermaids!

Kate tripped walking out to the car and scraped herself up pretty good. It was so fun for me to try and shower everyone and deal with a crying/bleeding daughter and make dinner.

We hiked to Battle Creek Falls in Pleasant Grove on the 24th of June. The hike was short, but consistently uphill. Several hikers warned us of a rattlesnake near the falls, but we never saw it. Just hearing about it freaked out some of the kids pretty good. The kids loved playing in the water—all except for Jude, who cried and clung to my legs if I tried to set him down. All together there were 10 cousins, 3 aunts, and 1 granny hiking. (2 of the cousins are babies and were strapped to their mamas, so they are not pictured here.)

It's so pretty up there!

DeAnna's family.

Lenna's family.

My family. I feel like I take better pictures of other people than they take of me. :)

Kids on a rock.

These girls called themselves Team 3. Because there are three of them. They held hands all the way down and chanted "Team 3!" over and over.

DeAnna up in the front with the boys. Gray wouldn't listen when he was told to stop running and slow down.

And then he tripped and faceplanted it. He got a little scraped up, but mostly he was just covered in dust and it looked really funny. I carried him the rest of the way down.

It was happy hour when we finished, so Granny treated everyone to a slush at Sonic. The little ones are playing Ninja there, I think. When we left I got one more slush and dropped it off to Nate at work. Poor Nate, always having to work like a grown up.
