The girls mostly slept in.
So did Nate and Jude. I did not sleep well at all, and I was up with the dawn. Well, my bladder was up with the dawn, and it took the rest of me with it.
After breakfast we packed up all our gear and took off through the canyon again. We drove past all the sites we had already seen, so we could find even more sites. Yay!
A child wanted to take my picture. Here it is.
I love this shirt on Jude.
We walked through a canyon dry bed and found a few cool fossils and some sweet colorful rocks.
Then we drove all the way back through the canyon to Price. We stopped at the dinosaur museum, and I wish we were all in a better mood and less tired so we could have enjoyed it more. Also, we had to get home, so we couldn't stay long. It really was a great museum.
We saw these pictures of the petroglyphs we had just driven FOREVER to see and Nate said, "Why didn't we just come here first?!"
Big Horn Sheep. That's why I come up here. Goulet.
The kid area was pretty cool. There were puppets and coloring pages and a climbing area and a sand pit where you could uncover fossils!
They were in the process of putting up some new bones, I think. There were a lot just lying on the ground.
That's attractive.
Finally made it home, had a bath, and ate some food. We were gone for fewer than 24 hours. It was a whirlwind of a trip.
