We went to the splash pad with our Dye friends. Sarah's climbing skills on the jungle gym were impressive.
I took my kids to the arcade because we had purchased some gift cards during Colin's school fundraiser. It was fun, and I was glad it didn't cost me any money.
Kate liked feeling grown up with her hair wrapped in a giant towel.
I took pictures of the childrens because they looked so adorable. I had to do it before church, because goodness knows they wouldn't still look nice after church.
The nap to no nap transition is rough. Especially on Sundays.
On the 5th we went to a teddy bear tea party at the library.
Then we hit the reservoir.
I like going to the rez, but I hate the sand in my car and giving kids a bath afterwards. Colin used the pink towel, and he didn't want a picture taken, so I took one.
We went to the rez the next day, too. I love summer. And I saw my old friend Nate Christian and his family.
On the 10th we went to the children's art festival outside of the art museum (part of Art City Days). I was glad the sunglass booth was there again, because the kids love decorating them.
Gray wanted to be a black panther, and was a little disappointed that his whole face wasn't painted black. He also got a black panther balloon animal. He loves black panthers.
Jude just looked like a little hipster to me, so I took his picture.
Fun and games at Nana's house.
Heather says that Kate is her spirit animal.
These girls were playing dress up and demanded a photo shoot. Gray got involved, too.
Then Jude wanted to try on the Olaf costume.
The kids started tennis lessons, they only had a few, but I feel like they learned something.
We went to a different park one night after dinner. There was a fun swing thing that scared Colin.
My dessert when we got home. Don't judge.
On the 17th the kids went boating with our good friend Tracy. I was jealous, because I wanted to go too, but I was also grateful because Tracy took them so I could get done a truckload of work that day. I was a little overwhelmed with projects, and I got a lot done while they were gone. But I still wish I could have gone, too.
On the 18th we went to the Provo City Center Temple with Scott Silvey's fiancée. That was the first time I had done a session in that temple, although we had already been to a sealing there.
After the temple we went out for our annual date with Brad and DeAnna. We tried out a little place in downtown Provo. There were many fancy drinks, but they weren't that great.
And the book for holding the check was really a book. If was definitely a hipster restaurant.
Farming game with Nate's family. I suck at this game. Thankfully, so does Kiona, so we could be friends.
First day of swimming lessons at Hannah's pool!
Setting up for Sam and Tia's 40th Anniversary party.
Cute girl cousins who call themselves Team Four.
These are just pictures I took with my phone. Nate's best friend Jon took the official pictures, and they turned out great.
This kid. He could be a model. I said, "Hey Gray, turn around." And he did. And I snapped this picture.
Glamour shots by Deb. (I mean by me.)
Our one family shot that turned out.
We went to Bridal Veil Falls with DeAnna and her kids.
Not the most flattering picture of me, but apparently my kids will appreciate that I am sometimes in pictures when they grow up? Or something?
A few pictures from Scott and Kiona's pre-wedding family and friends barbecue. I labeled the food and got a little carried away.
Jude loved the drinking fountain.
I have a ton of pictures from Scott and Kiona's wedding, so for now I'm just going to skip it.
Chilling in the garden with Mabel.
Spending all too brief a time visiting with Paul and Bren Larsen before they move to Taiwan for a few years.
Back to the reservoir. With Dad this time!
I save yogurt containers and that's what we take to play in the sand with. Then I don't get mad if "toys" are lost or stolen, because they are just yogurt containers. But they do build great sand castles.
Silly Jude.
A teenager scraped against my car while we were at the Lindon Pool. I took these pictures and called the cops.
Colin got a new bike for his birthday. It's a little big for him, and he wouldn't even try to ride it for like a month.
Last day of swimming lessons!
And after swimming lessons we went to the reservoir to celebrate Colin's birthday with a couple of friends and cousins.
And after the reservoir we got ready and went to the park for a picnic dinner with old high school friends, when the weather decided to pour. And I mean pour. It was ridiculous. So we bailed and ended up at my house, which wasn't ideal, but at least we got to visit for a bit.
The 29th was a busy day. And the 30th also has a ton of pictures, so it will get it's own camping post to follow.
