September part 1: Garden, splash pad, preschool field trip, Daniel Tiger, soccer, temple, wedding, birthday

September was kind of a busy month. And by kind of, I mean super duper. We had a garden overflowing with beans for me to can, my sister's wedding, Jude's birthday, and then a trip to Disneyland. And during all of this the kids got the flu! So fun!

Jude must be some kind of wonderkid to have constructed this amazing piece of work. Just kidding, I made it. It's really impressive for an almost two year old, but kind of embarrassing for an adult.

I don't remember why he wanted a picture taken of him wearing a flag bandana. But he did.

Bounty from the garden.

My kids love Legos.

A conversation between me and Nate. And yes, I see the typo.

We went to the splash pad one last time before it closed. Nate even joined us. He's handsome.

I made this shirt for myself. It's my exercise shirt. It's true every day I work out. I love it.

These pictures are from our neighborhood preschool group field trip. We take the kids out once a week to do something fun/educational since none of our kids are going to a "real" preschool. I think they are all doing the UPSTART program online though (which is amazing, ps). We went to the "Springville Zoo" farm thing for our first field trip. It's the Hall family's property, and I've taken my kids there several times before, but I've never been invited behind the fence to see the pretty birds and ugly goats before. But Grandpa Hall saw us looking at the animals and let us come inside. It was awesome.

We went to BYU to the farmers' market to see Daniel Tiger on the 10th. It was fun! Jude was enthralled by and terrified of Daniel Tiger.

He freaked out when he thought I was going to put him down. But I was just trying to get him to turn around for the camera. Silly baby.

Once Jude felt safe again, he was more than happy to give hi fives and say hello to Daniel Tiger.

Colin's first city league soccer game. He loved it. He's more enthusiastic than naturally talented, but it was fun for all of us to go to his games and cheer him on. I hope he learns more about the game as he gets older. I guess we'll have to teach him at home, because I have no faith in the volunteer coaches for these city leagues. Also, they only had two practices and then like 8 games.

My temple selfie fail after I went to the Jordan River Temple with my sister when she received her endowments. It was a long day. I left home around 3:30 pm, and got home around 10:30 pm.

I love this temple. It's where Nate and I were married.

Colin in the "Deep, Dark Forest of Itchy," which is what he called in between the bean rows.

Doesn't Gray look just like my brother Ethan? Ethan is younger than Gray in this picture, but trust me—they could be twins.

Poor Jude trying to sleep while I cleaned his carpet. He got the flu during Wedding Preparation Week. It was horribly inconvenient. He was wiped out for several days, but only puked one night. And by only one night, I mean that he puked every 20 minutes from 9 pm to 3 am. My house was the staging area for all of the flowers and decorations. It was constant craziness. Oh, and Kate and Gray also got this puke-tastic flu during the week.

Kate holding a garbage rose. Debbie, my mom's best friend, is a florist in Arizona, and she came up to do the flowers for the wedding. This rose wasn't good enough and was going in the trash, but they gave it to Kate instead. She loved it.

Heather recreating a face after I asked her to. She made a similar face when we asked her if she was excited for the big day. The fridge is open because she was looking at her bridal bouquet which was inside.

See?! So pretty!

September 18th was the big wedding. This is one of their bridal shots, but it is beautiful and I love it. I don't know why I don't have any pictures from the temple anymore, but that worries me. I'm going to have to track those down.

I found them!

My mom's group of friends who came to help for the wedding: Debbie, Mom, Carin, Pauline.

While we were killing time waiting for lunch we went to the worst park in Manti. Apparently there was a much better one just down the block, but we missed it. Dang.

The little ones were entranced by the waterfall.

Wedding lunch in Manti after the temple sealing. And by after, I mean like 90 minutes after. Nate and I were going to find somewhere else to feed the children, but surprise! There's no where to eat in Manti. Colin didn't eat anything. I ended up letting him lay down in the car because he didn't feel good. He was running a temperature and threatening to barf. Good times. Thankfully, he didn't puke at all during the drive home.

My sister-in-law Kelli did Kate's hair for me since I am hopeless at hair. I put the flowers in though.

My sister throwing her bouquet. It was tricky like mine and broke into several smaller bouquets so many people got a piece.

Kate didn't get a piece of the bouquet when Heather threw it, but a kindly bridesmaid gave her piece to Kate, which made Kate very happy.

I guess Kate was done dancing with Kenny and Laura. She was trying to get to me but I kept moving back trying to take a picture.

Colin took this lovely picture of Jude and me early Saturday morning. I did not delete it, but I did delete like 15 others that were even less flattering.

I made this adorable cake for my Mickey Mouse-loving boy. And when I say that I made it, I mean that I took my sister's wedding cake from the night before and frosted it. But I think it turned out really cute.

Jude was pleased with it anyway.

He really is the most adorable child ever.

My mom insisted that he have a real birthday party, so she brought her wedding helper friends who were still in town and we opened presents at home in the morning.

That face says it all. My boys loves Star Wars. And blankets. Parenting win.

Second birthday, taking place at my brother-in-law's house in Bluffdale. We had a family party for Jude and two of his cousins.

Jude loves puppies. But only if they are fake or far away.

The big boys thought it was funny to attack Dad with the cushions. Jude did not appreciate that.
