Colin loves to feel pretty. Here he is wearing some tutus I made for my friend's daughters.
On the 3rd we had a bbq at Nate's parents' house with a few friends. Nate's buddy Renn and his wife Keira came with their son Isaac. Isaac and Kate are like 4 days apart in age. We wanted to set up an obstacle course so we could see who the superior baby was, but that idea never came to fruition. (We all know who the superior baby is anyway.)
On the 5th we went with Nate's family to this sweet (and free!) splash park in Highland. The little boys had a lot of fun playing in the fountains and the little creek. There are a lot fancy pictures that were taken on a fancy camera, but I don't have them yet. I'll post them later.
The rocks in the creek had fountains coming out of them too.
So pensive.
Kate spent most of her time chillin' in the shade. Granny took her out to stick her toes in the water, which she loved, but she mostly wanted to dive right in.
Look at those baby blues!
On the 6th my sister-in-law DeAnna and I took the kids to "the bouncy house" as Colin calls it. Donovan was so brave, he went down the huge slide all by himself.
DeAnna took Colin down for me so I could stay with Kate.
He loved it so much he gave it a hug.
Kate played for a bit on one of the toys. It was hilarious when she fell over.
Here's D-Van going down another slide. He was much easier to take pictures of than Colin.
The boys on the merry-go-stays-still.
Later that day we went swimming over at Granny's house. Another neighbor kid came over and played with the boys.
Kate preferred to play by herself in the shade.
And when Papa turned the hose on Colin thought he had died and gone to heaven. Water is his favorite!
This picture just amuses me.
And here are my feeble attempts at using the timer setting on my camera so I could take a picture of myself. (Of my greasy, unshowered self.) A friend commented on the lack of pictures of me on the blog, so I hope this convinces her that I have been using good judgment by not including pictures of myself on the blog.
Oh Fat Face, how I love you.
Colin likes to repair his truck with his tools.
Safety first. Hat? Check. Goggles? Check.
Bwaha.
While I was checking my email the other night Kate was playing with a shirt hanging over the edge of the laundry bin. I grabbed the camera to take a picture right as she fell over. Her on the floor with the clothes on her head made an even better picture.
In other news, we finally have a double stroller. I love it. Colin loves it. Kate is indifferent. We bought a used Sit N Stand on KSL, and so far it is worth every penny. I just enjoyed a drink of chilled pineapple juice. That has nothing to do with the stroller—it was just refreshing. But now I have to go shower while the kids are sleeping so g'bye.

Love the picture of Colin in his handyman gear! Kate looks so good in those sundress romper things too! The splash park looks fun. We need more places like that here! Cute kids, as always!
Colin geared up! Fabulous! Glad he is making good use of his new tools and is safety conscience. Waterpark was fun and I will try to get those blogged and some we will want to add to our "print" list.Fun blog!
I know Kate won't let me hold her, but will she let me kiss her cheeks?
And props for posing with the self timer with 2 kids. That's a lot to do in 10 seconds.
YAY! I think the pics of you and your adorable kids are the best. Good work :) You guys do so much fun stuff. Those kids are going to have fond memories...when they can finally remember things.
