merry christmas!

Merry Christmas to you all! Here are some pictures from our holiday weekend.

Why is this picture upside down?

Colin had a sleepover at Granny's one night and when he got home he put toys in his overnight bag and took it with him all around the house.

My sister-in-law Kelli came over on Christmas Eve, so we opened sibling presents a day early. Colin opened his presents from Kelli too. And he opened everyone else's presents. /the box was just as much fun as the gift inside.

Colin and Kate each got a Build-a-Bear wearing a BYU t-shirt from Grant and Kelli.

Heather showed Kate her bear. I don't have a picture of Heather with her present, but she did get one.

Nate got a very exciting belt.

I got Seth the best present ever—a picture book about Zac Efron! He loves it. That Zac Efron is so hot right now.

Kelli got a Colin holding a car emergency kit.

Then in the evening on Christmas Eve we had a special FHE with Nate's family. Tia had a little program all planned out where we read the scripture story of the birth of Jesus and sang hymns.

Hannah and Kate chilled on the couch with their hoods up.

Here we are on Christmas morning. I wanted to put Kate inside her stocking to take a picture, but, as I did not finish sewing the binding by hand, there were pins holding it together.

Colin loved ripping the wrapping paper off of his gifts.

Here are our stockings. Aren't they cute?

Sometimes Colin would get distracted from opening his other presents by a really awesome present.

In my family we have a tradition of having an orange in the toe of our stocking. I put a Clementine in the kids' stockings this year, and when Colin found his he immediately took a bit out of it.

Nate's presents included a package of Oreos, a bottle of Famous Dave's bbq sauce, fancy schmancy hot chocolate, and many Skittles and Starbursts.

Colin loves his cell phone, but he still wants to play with mine.

We opened presents with my mom and siblings once we were done with our little family Christmas. My mom gave Nate and I a beautiful picture of the Jordan River Temple (where we were married). I was really excited because I haven't been able to find a print of that temple that I like. I guess it's not popular enough to be readily available. Thanks Mom!

Kate was smiling at Nate on the floor, so he took some pictures. The flash on our camera is annoying.

In the afternoon we went over to Nate's parents house for more fun.

Sara wasn't sure how she felt about the tutu I made for her.

Nate was SUPER excited about the splendiferous t-shirt Lenna sent for Kate. Notice how the horn has been added on.

Kate got her very own Wuzzle to go along with Colin's Bumblelion. This one is Butterbear.

My nephew and nieces opening their haul.

This is a really big box with several small gifts inside. Hey, it's iPod stuff! Does this mean I get an iPod?

Wait...there isn't an iPod in here...

(Kirsta throws an additional present across the room.) Oh yay! I do get an iPod! Thanks!

Granny made Colin some adorable pirate pajamas.

Aww, aren't they sweet together? Colin loves his Granny.

Here's Kate with her special shirt. Look at how well it fits her!

Still to come...family pictures (which were mostly a disaster) and our family holiday card and Kate's birth announcement! Huzzah!

I love that picture of the Jordan River Temple. It is beautiful! It looks like you guys had a great Christmas. I'm glad N/Kate liked the T-shirt I so lovingly made for them. She better wear it. I know how much you all love unicorns and the color purple and rainbows. Did Kate get a BUMBO? I hope so because you will love it and so will Colin. Mason and Dvan both take turns in Addi's when they can get their hands on it. Anywho... we are coming to see you all in a month. I can't believe Kate is already smiling! She'll be ready for a good visit with her favorite Addi cousin and Aunt Lenna! Wow, this is a long comment. I think I will stop commenting now. Thank you and good night.
