MARCHing on (see what I did there?)

I can't think of anything super special that happened in March. So on to the pictures.

One of Colin's classy costume creations. He thinks that maybe he was dressed up like Aragorn.

Is it bad that I took this picture before I rescued him? Jude backed himself into that bin and then got really mad about it.

Cousin Tea Party! Scott and Lenna and their family come down for a week for a wedding. We got to see them for a few days before and after. The little kids had a tea party (with real water and treats!) while the big boys played sports outside. Colin adores Mason, and he wants to be just like his older cousin. Mason was so sweet and patient with a ridiculously exuberant Colin, allowing Colin to follow him around and talk his ear off.

For dessert one night I made the kids something they eat all the time for snacks, but I fancied it up with a dollop of cool whip and some sprinkles. They were overjoyed. I wish they were always that easy to please. (It's just vanilla yogurt with strawberries.)

Jude crawled halfway onto the exersaucer, got stuck, and got mad.

But then he sat up next to his boppy and was happy.

Gray is potty trained! It was so easy, I couldn't believe it. Colin and Kate were so much more difficult. Gray had one day of accidents, one day of underwear/diapers, and the next day no accidents at all and everything was awesome. I didn't even set out to potty train him really. He was kind of interested in it because his cousin that is his age was starting to go potty sometimes. I figured I'd give him a chance to go if he wanted to and not push it too hard. But then he decided that he was a big boy and the rest is history! Huzzah! Once he was potty trained, Gray had to show everyone who came to the house his underpants. Not just the underpants he was currently wearing, but all the underpants in his drawer too. Silly boy.

And then one day it snowed again. It was crazy because there was no snow when I left to take the kids to school, and then it looked like this when I got home 40 minutes later. It was like driving in a blizzard.

Jude putting both hands in his mouth.

Apparently two hands taste better than one.

Gray, posing so proudly next to the princess castle we made together.

Jude, entertaining himself by pulling up next to the bin of Legos.

How cute is that little bum?! He's so much more solid than my other kids were at that age. (He's getting a potty treat from the jelly belly machine.)

Dogpile on Jude!

And one with Jude looking.

Jude loves his solid food. He didn't the first time, but I think this is the second time I gave him some. He was much more pleased.

Colin filled in these Mad Libs. I think he was asking Nate for the answers. He laughed so hard when he read them back to us.

I did Kate's hair so nicely for church one day. This is what it looked like when we got home. (And no, she did not wear that to church. This was after she changed her clothes.) It had been one braid in the back and two on the sides that were twisted up into one braid bun. Fail.

Oh how he loves to stand. Get ready for a great deal of pictures of Jude Standing Next to Things over the next couple of months.

Gray was singing me a song while he wheeled his truck back and forth. He also looked adorable in those clothes.

Chillaxin' with the elephant chair.

Another picture of Jude eating. He thinks he needs to hold the spoon by himself.

Silly boy.

Granny gave us a new towel just for Jude. He likes it! And he looks like the cutest little Sith Lord you've ever seen.

Kate drew this picture of a fox. I was impressed. Nate called it a beaver-fox.

Big Jude in his big high chair! This is where he takes all of his meals now.

Kate insisted that I also draw a fox. She was not impressed with my efforts.

Gray put on his Angry Bird hat/scarf/gloves combo and showed me how a bird flies. So stinkin' cute.

Gray is also a great helper. He had a blast trying to vacuum. I had to rescue him when he got stuck in the corners.

These little monkeys think the bunk bed is a gymnasium. I love Kate's pose and Colin's outside underwear.

He's so proud of himself when he stands up!

Jude's first tooth

Jude cut his first tooth last week. I noticed it on Tuesday. So, Tuesday, April 8, 2014. Jude's First Tooth. Let it not be said that I never recorded the important information in my family's life.

Pictures and other updates to follow.
